SPOTLIGHT ON
the Bukharian Jewish Community
in America

http://www.ujafedny.org/site/News2?page=NewsArticle&id=7121
This article, published by UJA Federation of New York, brings us the story of Bukharian Jews and their attempt to adapt to American society while keeping their heritage alive. One such effort led to the establishment of a Bukharian Jewish Museum in Queens that contains thousands of artifacts and exhibits that convey the history and home life of the community. (Visit to the museum is by appointment only – contact information is provided)
http://www.bukharianjews.com/
This site is dedicated to promoting Bukharian identity, and appears to be directed primarily to members of the Bukharian-Jewish community. It provides information about the history, culture, ethnicity and achievements of Bukharian Jews throughout America and the world. One can enjoy articles, photos and music of the community, past and present. If you are interested in learning the Bukharian Jewish language, you might even want to take the online lessons that are offered.
http://www.bukharian.com/
Similarly to the previous site, Bukharian .com is intended to create an environment where Jews of Bukharian origin can communicate with one another, share ideas, advice and humor, while learning about their heritage, history, customs and Jewish identity.
